The Bank Left Gallery featured artists for October are Sarah Swett from Moscow, Idaho and Monika Kriebel from Garfield, Washington. Both Sarah and Monika are fiber artists. Sarah creates tapestries and Monika focuses on wearable art.

Opening Reception with the Artists on Saturday October 7th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Music will be performed by John Elwood and Sally Burkhart

The exhibit runs from October 7th through the 28th

According to Sarah, "In tapestry, the image is the fabric - without the former, the latter is merely a pile of yarn. The artist, then, creates order; she tells stories, builds images and captures moments in time in cloth even as they unfold."

Sarah's work travels extensively to shows across the country and, in magazines and books, around the world.

Monika says, "I have chosen knitting for my creative expression because creating one of a kind knitwear and seeing my work worn by a person as unique as what I create thrills me."

"I emphasize the wearable of fiber art. For me art has to be functional, be it a piece of pottery, glass art or a painting."
